The Calm After the Storm
Kirk and Spock were finally alone. Lester and Coleman were gone and
the ship was back on course; things were returning to normal.
"Thank you for believing me," Kirk said, wrapping his arms around
Spock's waist for a much-needed hug.
"I admit I had my doubts at first."
"What finally convinced you, the meld?"
"Actually the look in Doctor Lester's eyes. It was the look you get
when you want to be... intimate."
"Thank you for not getting intimate with her. I mean me." Kirk
chuckled. "I'm confusing myself."
"Maybe this will help 'un-confuse' you," Spock said, kissing him
tenderly.
